Now, as long as Gamepass is mainly Saas (software as a service) based in its business model, whereas Steam is aimed towards a demographic who prefer to make one-time purchases, it's only natural Capcom would choose Steam over Xbox as its main platform. So, Microsoft would have to be willing to pay Capcom a LOT of money in order to add those games to their service.Ĭonsidering Gamepass is aimed more towards making XBOX a device-agnostic platform - in other words, it doesn't matter if you're on Xbox Series S, X, or PC, if you're using Gamepass, you're playing on Xbox - and because of that, just because you game on a PC, doesn't make Gamepass or Steam the same gaming platforms. ![]()
